Winter is about to strike with a vengeance! We will be in for some wild weather over the coming days if the weather man’s predications are to be believed. We encourage all students to have adequate warm clothing and to strive to stay dry when the weather sets in. We already have quite a few nasty viruses circulating in the school and everyone would like to head into the holidays in a few week’s time fit and healthy. If your child is unwell please keep them at home to prevent the spread and we will continue to disinfect work spaces to limit the viruses. We are also desperate to keep our staff fit and well so that we continue to teach as normal. There is a current shortage of available casuals and it is a daily challenge to ensure that all classes have a teacher in front of them for optimal learning time. Unfortunately there may be situations when we will have to make alternative arrangements to ensure we have duty of care, like combined classes. Please be confident that we will do everything we possibly can to ensure that classes and learning are not affected.
This is the last week for parents to participate in the annual school feedback survey. The “Tell Them From Me® (TTFM®) survey will provide us with valuable feedback on what our community think about school life, how engaged students are with school and the different ways that teachers interact with students and parents. Schools in Australia and around the world have used the Tell Them From Me survey to help them improve. The survey takes approximately 15-20 minutes to complete. Parents have the option to complete the survey in the next week. Please logon to the following URL and complete the survey.

Archdiocese Basketball Gala Day - Tuggeranong
Congratulations to our teams who competed at the Basketball Gala day in Canberra last Friday.
The Yr 7/8 teams learnt a lot by playing some very experienced sides. They did not win any games but managed a few goals.
The 9/10 Boys won 2 out of 4 games, with some excellent lay-ups and rebounding. The last game was very close and we managed to win by one point in a nail biting finish.
The 9/10 Girls won 2 out of 3 pool games to progress to a Semi-Final. We lost the Semi-final by only 6 points. This was a great effort considering 2 of our team were playing up from the 7/8 girls team.
Thank you Mr Mahon for driving and helping with the teams, and to all the parents for helping to complete our scoring duties.
