Dear Sacred Heart families,
As we approach the midpoint of the term, we would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your ongoing support of our school. Our students are flourishing, and it is a pleasure to see them grow and develop each day. They have been very busy for the first half of the term and have had many wonderful experiences in and out of the classroom.
I would like to thank all the students who have taken part in these activities and to acknowledge the hard work of our teachers in facilitating these experiences. These caried experiences teach our students many things, including sportsmanship, cooperation, patience and how to share. School learning is as much about the wellbeing and value building of our students, as it is about the academics. Next week our Years 3,5,7 and 9 will participate in the annual NAPLAN assessment. Please read carefully all information pertaining to the tests and offer your student/s gentle words of encouragement but if they are anxious please ensure their teacher or PCA is aware of their concern. The tests are very much about what the school is doing and how we can target our teaching of the literacy and numeracy skills appropriate for each age group
Congratulations to all our swimmers who participated in the diocesan carnivals. So many students will now make the trek to Sydney for the State carnivals. We wish them well. We are looking to shift the annual photo day as so many students will be in attendance and miss the group photos. We will confirm this asap.
We would also like to remind parents and guardians that we have another important fundraising event coming up on the 31 March with the Colour Run. This is aimed at being a community event to engage all parents, students and friends of the school in a family fun afternoon. The event will be a fun-filled afternoon for the whole family, with food and drinks available. All funds raised will go towards supporting our school's ongoing development, and we appreciate any contributions that families can make.
As always, I encourage parents and guardians to keep in touch with our teachers and staff if you have any questions or concerns. Together, we can ensure that our students receive the best possible education and suppor
Thank you for your ongoing commitment to our school and community.
Remember is you have to choose between being extraordinary or kind…. Be extraordinarily kind.
God Bless.
