Socktober

Stripes, spots, feathers and fur adorned the legs of our students on Wednesday as they donned on their craziest socks and tossed coins for Socktober.  This important event raised awareness for Catholic Mission’s projects in Mongolia. As a school community we raised $931.75 for this worthy charity.

Youth Ministry in Action

During Term 3 Year 9’s Religious Education Unit of work was based on the importance of spreading Gods word and how we can minister to others. As part of this unit Year 9 planned and constructed a mini retreat for Stage 2 aged students. Today the Year 9’s had the opportunity to lead these retreats. All the mini retreats had elements of prayer, scripture, music, drama, testimonials and reflection time around a concept that the Yr 9’s themselves selected. It is clear from the enjoyment that all students had and the deep and meaningful conversations that could be heard Peer Ministry is fundamental to spreading the message that Jesus loves us, and we are all worthy of that love.
