Next Wednesday the 6th November Sacred Heart will be hosting its Socktober fundraising in conjunction with our monthly Uniform Free Day.
Socktober is the month-long charity fundraising hosted by Catholic Mission. This year, Socktober focuses on children who have been abandoned, who are homeless, or who come from vulnerable backgrounds in Mongolia. With limited social services available, the Church has taken action by starting the Don Bosco Caring Center, a safe haven for children with nowhere to turn.
All students are asked to bring along a gold coin donation for Uniform Free and any loose change to participate in a special coin toss. Students will have the opportunity to win prizes if their coin toss lands within a ‘standing’ sock. Prizes will also be offered for the craziest ways to wear socks.
