Mary Help of Christians
In week 4 the school celebrated the Feast Day of Mary Help of Christians by attending a liturgy lead by infants. It was a beautiful celebration full of movement, storytelling and prayer. Mary: Help of Christians is the patroness saint of Australia. During the early days of colonisation when Mass was not celebrated in Australia, Catholics would say the Rosary as a way of celebrating our faith. This has developed a long tradition of devotion to Mary in Australia.
Reflection Day
In Week 4 and Week 7, Years 2 and Years 4 participated in their Reflection Days for the year. Year 2 joined together to explore the theme of Forgiveness, while Year 4 looked at who is our neighbour and how we should care for and respect everyone. Both groups had a wonderful day participating in drama activities, songs, art and craft, breaking open the scriptures and prayer.

Healthy Relationships Talks
In Week 8 the team from the Archdiocese come out to lead a program with our secondary students. The student engaged in conversations and activities promoting healthy and respectful relationships.
Feast of the Sacred Heart
In Week 7 the whole school gathered to celebrate Mass of the Feast of the Sacred Heart. Our school charism is the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The values of love, compassion and service help form who we are as a community. All students created a woven heart that at the end of Mass held special treats. Fr Lolesio had the students shouting from the top of their lungs their love for the Sacred Heart of Jesus. We were also able to reinstate our altar servers. Thank you to those students who are giving of their time to serve at parish and school masses. It was a very special celebration.
