Yr 9 RE Class Shared Meal

Last Friday Year 9 had the opportunity to experience a meal similar to what Jesus and the disciples would have shared at the Last Supper. They sampled cultural foods of the region in a setting similar to that of the time of Christ. This experience was to conclude our unit of work on Being Eucharistic. This unit of work explored how the sharing of a meal creates strong connections.  The events and rituals of the Last Supper are remembered at each Eucharistic celebration and how the celebration of the Eucharistic Mass is vital to our community. Year 9 enactment of the Passion of our Lord is one way that we show that we are Eucharistic people.
