Cootamundra Invitational Secondary Schools Touch Carnival - Friday 10th November

Back with a bang! Thank you so much to everyone who took part in the 2023 Coota Schools Touch Carnival. There were 59 teams from 8 schools across our region - Cootamundra High, Temora High, McAuley Tumut, St Annes Temora, Trinity Goulburn, Carroll College Broulee, Hennessy Catholic College Young, and Sacred Heart. There were about 40 referees that stepped in to help ref the 176 games across 10 fields. Some refs were going all day. Without them, the day would not run and we thank them very much for all that they did. Thank you to the team at the Cootamundra Council for the preparation of the venues. The grounds looked amazing. Thank you to all the staff that provided the opportunity for the students to participate. 

Thank you, especially to the staff from Sacred Heart. These events are never a one-person show. There were many people that took on many big jobs and little jobs to make the carnival run smoothly. Thank you to the canteen organisers and helpers for the amazing menu. Thanks to everyone for your help with ideas, draws, people power for setting up and packing up, first aid, bus driving, coaching, refereeing, and taking classes to give me time to get things done. It was greatly appreciated.
