Results from Narooma
We had a very successful swimming campaign in Narooma last Monday. Congratulations to all our swimmers, there were plenty of PBs made. As a result, we have many students progressing to the NSWCCC Carnival on March 29th in Homebush.

Halle also broke the 11 Yrs Girls 50m Backstroke Record Old Record 40.57 New Record 39.75
Well done to our boys Junior Relay team (Lucas Walker, Jett Johnson, Jake Harris and George Clark) who came first. George Clark, Zoe Lake, Ella Gammon will also progress to the next level, coming first in their respected races.
Again well done to all our swimmers who showed great sportsmanship and represented Sacred Heart amazingly well.
Primary Weekly Sport
Swimming has now concluded and students will complete primary sport on Thursday afternoons at school. We will be practising for upcoming gala days and cross country.

Secondary Sport
Pool
The swimming season is coming to a close and the outdoor pool will close on March 14th. During the remaining lessons, students will be busy completing assessments and activities for their PE and Sports programs. A note and invoice will go home with the total cost for the pool use for your child by the end of next week. If you have any concerns please contact Ms Withers as soon as possible.
Archdiocese Swimming
Congratulations to the students who competed at the Canberra Goulburn Archdiocese Swimming Carnival last Tuesday in Goulburn. There were brilliant performances and gutsy efforts made by all swimmers.

Congratulations to Tom Peacey for breaking the 13yrs Boys 50m Breaststroke record. The old record was held by Sacred Heart ex-student, Simon Lienesch, set in 2006. Old record 39.84 sec, new record 39.13 sec.
Congratulations to Josh Harris - 13 yrs Boys Age Champion
The winning school was calculated on a handicap basis again this year by dividing the points by the number of swimmers finding the average per swimmer then multiplied by the difference in numbers. Results are as follows;

Secondary Triathlon
On Friday 5th March, secondary students participated in their annual Triathlon event. The weather was perfect and the students enjoyed encouraging each other to have fun and be involved. All students who participated received points for their house, and those who placed were given a few more.
As it was a normal school day, it was great to see the students who were unable to participate in the Triathlon, still attend school and offer to help with many essential roles to make the event run efficiently. Thank you to those students who helped make my job so much easier.
