Term 1 Week 5

From Western Region Swimming West Wyalong 

Students reported that it was a great day at WR swimming last Monday. Everyone represented Sacred Heart with great sportsmanship. Students who represented were:

A special congratulations to Halle Johnson for being Age Champion and breaking several very old records, Ella Gammon and Jake Harris who were both  runners up in their Age champion

As a result we have quite a few students headed off to Narrooma on the 1st March. These students are:

Primary Sport

This week is our Triathlon students are encouraged to bring a bike and helmet to school to participate in a fun event. Parents are welcome to come and watch, following COVID restrictions and protocols. Races will start around 1pm.

There have been several expressions of interest notes going home this week for various gala days. If you wish your child to be involved in these days please return ASPA, so we can assess whether we will register teams.

Please remember that registration for NSWCCC representative sports are done at

CSNSW Sport and is the responsibility of individual families. 

Secondary Sport

Good luck to the Open Girls League Tag team competing in Young on Tuesday. A full report will be in next week's newsletter. Thank you to Patrece Maxwell for taking the team across.

Secondary start their annual Colours Challenge this week for Sport. House groups compete in a number of sports throughout the year to earn points towards the ‘Champion Sporting House’ Trophy for the year.

Stage 5 - Volleyball

Swimming for PE, Sport, Swimming Carnival and Triathlon - Change to payment method - The $30 noted in the letter that went home was an approximate cost for all pool visits for the term. You do not need to pay $30 up front. Teachers will record when students attend the pool (including the Swimming Carnival and Triathlon events) and families will be invoiced at the end of the swimming season. If this is a concern to you please get in contact with Ms Withers as soon as possible.

For school teams to go away to gala days and competitions, students must return their note and money by the due date to be eligible to attend the excursion.
